LIBERTY AIMS TO RAISE $50,000 AT THE 2014 LIBERTY CLASSIC

Liberty is proud to be an Edmonton based company and we feel it’s important to give back to the community that we call home. One way we do so is by hosting our annual Liberty Classic charity golf tournament.

The 2014 event will be held at Northern Bear Golf Club, outside Sherwood Park, Alberta, on Monday, August 25th at 2pm. Last year we raised over $40,000 for the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson’s and Parkinson Alberta. This year we have set our sights higher and are aiming to raise $50,00 for two great charities. In addition to the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson’s, we will be supporting the Neurosurgery Kids Fund at the Stollery Children’s Hospital for the first time.

We are extremely excited about this years tournament and the opportunity to work with these charities. It’s shaping up to be our biggest and best tournament yet. We have a huge day planned, beginning with a Texas Scramble Tournament. Throughout the course will be a variety of competitions with great prizes to be won. After the Tournament will be the banquet, where our golfers will be treated to dinner and the presentation of awards. A silent auction will be set up at the banquet for even more opportunities to win great prizes. Personalities such as Edmonton Oilers Captain Andrew Ference, TSN’s Ryan Rishaug and OilersTV Host Tom Gazzola will be joining us this year to ensure we have a successful and fun filled day.

The Peterson Foundation for Parkinson’s (PFP) mission is to educate and raise awareness about the devastating effects of Parkinson’s disease. PFP raises funds to benefit Parkinson’s related research and education.

The Neurosurgery Kids Fund is a charitable organization that’s primary focus is to enrich the lives of children who have undergone brain or spinal cord surgery at The Stollery Children’s Hospital and support their families.
